| Relentlessly modern, but having one cloven
hoof planted in a Lovecraftian past; an inventive fantasy on
magic that is at the same time researched and authentic; with
The Devil's Footprints, Scott Allie, Paul Lee,
Brian Horton, and Dave Stewart present us with the real Witches
of Eastwick in a stylish narrative that reimagines the occult/horror
comic in a form suited to our present time. Recommended.

| The Devil's Footprints
is first-rate horror story-telling; the world it creates
is believable and solid, which makes the eruptions of wild Lovecraftian
horrors all the more powerful when they come. This is clearly
the work of people who understand and love horror, which is
always welcome, and it makes for a thoroughly addictive read. |

| It's some of my favorite
art in comics today. I love the beautiful retro-style drawing
and the subtle coloring. It's on my 'look-at-for-inspiration'
shelf. |

| Check your 'nerves of steel'
at the doorThe Devil's Footprints is a creepfest
jam-packed with Lovecraftian monstrosities, midnight graveyard
raids and more spookiness than you can shake a pitchfork at! |

| Scott's story is set in his hometown
of Ipswich, Massachusetts (where else?), and combines recent
flooding there with stories Lovecraft wrote about the area over
eighty years ago. |
